Ginger root

In these dark days of winter, I thinly slice fresh ginger root and simmer it in a pot of boiling water on the stove for 10 minutes. Honey can be added to make an antiviral tea that helps prevent colds.

Fresh ginger root tea helps prevent the cold virus from attaching to the mucus membranes in the respiratory tract.*

It is also warming, soothing, and yummy.

I leave my pot on the stove and fill my mug as needed.

So easy, delicious, and helpful.
